Student, youth & young professional research

Congratulations Loughborough!

Last night the Times Higher Education hosted their annual higher education awards ceremony. For the fourth year in succession, Opinionpanel ran the polling behind their Student Experience Award. And for the third year in succession, Loughborough University won.

Eleanor Simmons, our associate director for Higher Education research commented, “The fact that Loughborough has won this award for the third year running – a hat-trick for this, the most sporty university – is surely testament to a university, and no doubt a student union, which genuinely believes in the value of providing and enhanced student experience?.

There were many big names in attendance at the awards. Guests included David Lammy, the new Minister for higher education, David Willetts, Shadow Secretary of State for Innovation, Universities and Skills and Dame Helena Kennedy QC. In all over 1,300 nominees, academics and other supporters of higher education were there. Once again, well done Loughbourough!
