Head of Youth Research & Insight


Josephine started her career in market research in 2001, joining YouthSight in 2013 to head the Youth Research & Insight (YRI) team.

Since joining YouthSight, Josephine has won over clients such as Sky, Channel 4, Sport England, Ofcom, and Endsleigh, helping them get better at understanding and engaging with Millennials. In 2014/5 Josephine’s team launched SYN: State of the Youth Nation; a syndicated research study giving clients access to the most up-to-date youth trends and data.

Josephine’s background is in social research. She spent 5 years managing evaluation projects for central and local government, working with clients such as the Home Office, DECC, DCLG, Ofsted, and BIS. Josephine has also delivered insight and directed innovation to many big brands including BMW, Google, Facebook, BT and BBC.

Josephine is a regular on the research and youth marketing conference circuits, having presented at the MRS Conference, The SRA Conference, ESOMAR 3D, the YMS Youth Marketing Strategy Conferences, and regular press interviews and contributions including guesting on Radio 4’s The Bottom Line with Evan Davis, discussing ‘Selling to Millennials’.

Josephine holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy from King’s College London as well as a BSc in Social Psychology from Loughborough University. She is a full member of the Market Research Society and a regular at her local Women’s Institute where she tries to play lawn bowls and learn the history of her neighbourhood.
