YouthSight HE Director on Radio 4 discussing the link between student retention and satisfaction
BBC Radio 4’s You & Yours recently invited YouthSight’s James MacGregor, Director of Higher Education Research, onto the programme to discuss our research on how universities can tackle the problem of students dropping out.
Our research found a strong correlation between how welcome students are made to feel in their first few weeks and their likelihood of dropping out. In the new system where a university’s funding is in part dependent on how many students it keeps, it’s more important than ever that universities develop a better understanding of how they can ensure an excellent early start to new students.
