YouthSight’s Student Experience Survey 2014 featured in Times Higher Education
For ten years, YouthSight has been conducting research on the student experience for Times Higher Education. Our latest research, entitled The Student Experience Survey, 2014 has become one of the key instruments in reporting the relative quality of student life in UK universities. Featured in The Times Higher Education magazine and website, reporter Jack Grove discusses our latest findings.
The research comprised 14,300 student interviews and highlighted those institutions who demonstrated best practice, recognising that the overall quality of student experience has considerable impact on the university’s performance in a number of areas including student recruitment, retention, reputation and league table position.
A huge congratulations to the University of Sheffield, ranking highly in all 21 aspects of university life and securing their 1st place position and to the University of Bath ranked 2nd. Similarly, well done to all other universities who were featured in our research.
Although the student experience survey has also been useful in indicating areas for improvement, a general upward shift in student ratings shows that UK universities are working hard to enhance the student experience and are succeeding.
