Loughborough Uni Tops Student Experience Survey 2016

University league tables are used widely by students and parents, but do they adequately examine student experience? Our latest research polled 15,000 full-time undergraduates from our own youth research panel, exploring 21 aspects of student satisfaction for the annual Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey 2016. Although some University league tables award Oxbridge top spots, THE’s Student Experiences Survey illustrate a different story.

A huge congratulations to Loughborough University who were ranked top spot, followed closely by Harper Adams University, University of Sheffield and University of Oxford, respectively. The on-going project with THE in it’s 11th year quizzed students’ experience of their university against 21 key attributes, including the quality of courses, staff and facilities.

The Student Experience Survey, 2016 has become one of the key instruments in reporting the relative quality of student life in UK universities, highlighting those institutions who recognise the importance of the overall quality of student experience and the considerable impact it has on the university’s performance.
