Newsweek asked Associate Director, Tanya Michelsen for her insight, which contributed to their article on: 'Gen Zs are Anxious, Entrepreneurial and Determined to Avoid their Predecessor's Mistakes.'

Newsweek have reported on the harsh realities that Gen Z are facing as a result of their ambitious goals and over-achieving culture. And as specialists on the subject we were asked to offer further insight on the topic.

YouthSight’s Associate Director, Tanya Michelsen was asked to be featured in the article and commented: “Millennials wanted more flexibility in their lives. This is because many Gen Zs in the US and in the UK were born into an era of financial crisis. At a young age they saw the effects that the economic crash had on their parents and this has motivated many to focus on careers driven by job security and stability. But does this pressure and determination come at a greater cost?

Newsweek investigate the effects in relation to the heightened reports of insecurity and anxiety nesting amongst young people today.
