Andréanne heads up YouthSight’s Higher Education research team to help universities drive commercial success.

The Higher Education insight team led the 4th HE Insight Club event at the University of Manchester. YouthSight's Joey Jones and Andréanne Orsier spoke about the latest Gen Z trends and best practice social media marketing for universities. 

The event - which is exclusive to our HE Success Suite subscribers - featured two presentations from our higher education team, which was followed by group activities with students and applicants from our youth panel. 

The day kicked off with a presentation from our Associate Director, Andréanne Orsier on: 'how to win with Gen Z'. Andréanne spoke about the latest Gen Z trends and discussed what these meant for universities.

Following this talk, Senior Research Executive, Joey Jones spoke about social media and demonstrated how universities can leverage their social channels with examples from real case studies. 

Both presentations featured exclusive insights from our new Gen Z panel, giving our clients a head-start to understanding this generation of future students.

After our talks, 30 of our HE Insight Club members from 16 different universities across the country took part in a number of activities with 12 young people who shared their views on social media, how they use the different channels, why they use it, and what they expect from it.

We finished the session with a co-creation task, which saw young people and clients working together to create their very own social media post, thinking of topics such as tone, messaging, content and delivery.

It gave our guests unique insights into what their prospective students want from a university social media post. And as always, we got some excellent feedback from our clients who attended.
