YouthSight's recent research commissioned by the Gambling Commission on student gambling debt was featured on the BBC and The Christian Institute.

The Gambling Commission reached out to YouthSight to interview UK students about their gambling behaviours. 1,000 students were interviewed, the results showed that three out of five students had gambled in the four week period before they responded to the August survey.

This nationally represented survey suggests that just over 100,000 students may be in some form of gambling debt.

The Christian Institute also reported that vulnerable students are targetted by bookmakers via 'fake news' articles.

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has rebuked Ladbrokes Coral, Sky Vegas, 888, and Casumo for paying affiliate websites to publish fake news articles which encouraged gambling.
